'Fancy a wee bit of help in the kitchen?'
This little English Robin sits perched on a vintage pastry cutter.
He is made by the process of needle felting.
Unspun wool (roving) is formed into a shape using a surgically sharp barbed needle which is worked into the fibres. They are matted together and the more you work the needle, the more detail you can create.
Final detail is added in the same method including the various finished colours.
Glass eyes are adhered into the wee birds head.
His feet are made by using a specialty product wrapped around hand made armatures of those feet.
The sculpture is permanently adhered to the handle of the base and is free standing.
He stands 8.5" high from the bottom of the base and is 5.5" across the bottom of the base.
